Ingredients
1/3 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
Juice of 3 limes
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of 4 oranges
4 Cloves of minced garlic
Handfull of chopped cilantro
Half a chopped onion
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp cumin
1 tsp red pepper flakes
Directions
- This is all about the marinade. Combine all of the ingredients together to form your delicious marinade.
- Put the marinade and your steak in a ziploc back or a container and let sit in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours. It can marinade as long as 24 hours.
- In a hot cast iron skillet, put a little bit of butter down and dump your steak and a little bit of the marinade into the pan. (We used a cast iron skillet, but you can do this in a regular one too)
- Cook for just a few minutes on each side. How long will depend on the cut of steak you use and how thick it is. For our flat iron we only needed about 3 min on each side.
- Let rest for 5 min. ALWAYS let the steak rest.
- Slice and serve! Your steak should be pink through the middle.
